don't mess with texas

Ah yeah, bitch. In Portland we fuck shit up! What am I talking about. Yeah there was a little protest and a clash with the police during the fucking President's visit yesterday, but while it was going on I was taking a nap, and then I was at work. I watched a little of the goings on on tv, and it was interesting because I could hear the news helicopter out my window. I felt like that scene in Ocean's 11 where Don Cheadle is sitting on the couch in the hotel watching the other hotel being blown up on tv, meanwhile it's actually happening right behind him, right outside his window. It's a little odd seeing images on tv of people being hosed with pepper spray and plugged with rubber bullets on a street that I was peacefully driving down just a few hours earlier. Anyway, my big annoyance during dipshit's visit was that there were streets blocked off downtown and they wouldn't let anyone park anywhere, which made things shitty for my morning job, because parking downtown sucks my balls as it is. It cost the city of Portland over $100,000 to pay for security and shit for the President's visit, but do you know why he was here? I mean other than that speech about logging the national forests. He was here for a fundraiser for a Republican senator. Why is it our responsibility to pay for this shit? Oh, but I like that President Bush. He seems like a smart guy. And witty. And not a complete fucking puppet. And he keeps yacking about upholding democracy in other countries like Pakistan, yet he was non elected by a majority of voters. That takes balls.

Today at the morning job, we had to deliver food to some board meeting for a forest resources commission, alledgedly an environmental group. Normally when we deliver food, we put all the different lunches in their boxes or whatever, and put those in a bag with all the plastic silverware and napkins and other shit like that, and there you go. But these guys won't have that. They want everybody's box lunch put into individual bags with their silverware and drinks and whatever else they ordered. So instead of using maybe two bags for the whole thing, we end up using about twenty bags, plus boxes to carry it all. Did I mention that these people claim to be forest resource environmental people? Does it seem a little hypocritical to request that we use ten times as much paper to pack their food up? Okay then.

Jenn will be home tonight. I'm very excited.
